The Santa Clothes Club Telethon on NEWS 25
Early each December, NEWS 25 produces the Santa
Clothes Club Telethon at Washington Square Mall in Evansville, Indiana. The
telethon starts at noon and continues until 6 pm that same day, raising over
$200,000 to help clothe needy children in the tri-state area. You can help this
year by making a donation. It will cost $105 to completely clothe one child.
Last year we clothed over 2,500 children, and with your help we can continue
the tradition of providing clothing for tri-state children who so desperately
need it. Please call during the telethon or make an online donation here at www.SantaClothesClub.org.
Knowing you helped to clothe a child will warm your heart. Wal-Mart works with
the Santa Clothes Club, providing the clothing needed, at cost, and donating
the time and expertise of their personnel to properly fit each child. Without
this commitment, it would be nearly impossible to clothe over 2,500 children
each year. We applaud Wal-Mart for their generosity and dedication to the Santa
Clothes Club and to the community. $100 will completely clothe one boy or girl
with an outfit from Wal-Mart, which includes 1 pair of jeans, 1 shirt/top, 6
pair of underwear, 6 pair of socks, gloves, gym shoes and hooded coat. Our goal
this year is to raise $250,000 so we can clothe approximately 2,500 needy tri-state
school children.
